"Yumi Storian" a Young adults fellowship:

VISION:

Disciple young men in Biblically-based life skills and responsibilities.

OBJECTIVES:

• Young men to understand the role and responsibilities of being a Biblical man as an individual, in a family and as part of a community.
• Empower young men to break the cycles of violence (including domestic violence)
• Give tools/skills to settle disputes without using violence.
• Grow in their faith and relationship with God
• Receive Salvation and freedom in Christ.
• From a Chains to Life point of view, we would call this a ‘preventative’ ministry, as these young men have no elder person/father/mentor or mature guidance in their lives and are vulnerable to making wrong choices and decisions which could lead them to a life of crime, alcohol and marijuana abuse, which in turn leads to prison.
• Through our time with these young men, we have realised that the majority of them want to lead good lives, but they just don’t know how..
• So through Christ centred fellowship and guidance we have a hope for every single young man to fulfill his potential and become a Godly man who leads their homes, communities and villages in a way that that glorifies God.

PRAYER REQUESTS & NEEDS:

• That God sends the young men to us so that we can proclaim the truth of the Gospel.
• That their eyes are opened and hearts softened to the love of God.
• That we can raise up Biblical leaders to lead further satellite centres.
• A truck is desperately needed to not only transport the leaders to the various centres but using it to get more people to come to the centres that cannot afford transportation. Ideally we need 2 trucks! (ute, bakkie, pick-up).
• Funding to run the trucks. 
• Currently we need transportation costs for our leaders which is approximately: 

10 000vatu (AU$125/ US$85/ NZ$135) per month per leader.
